‘Speck’ Movie Review-What did I just watch?

richard speck movie horror

Have you heard of the movie “Speck”? Well neither did I until I landed a dvd with the film on it. It is based off the true story of the mass murderer Richard Speck back in 1966 who brutally raped, tortured, and murdered 8 nurses.

This could of been a great film but instead it was a joke. Richard Speck was known for brutality and horror, this film will be forever known for how lame it was. The first three minutes of the film I was ready to turn it off and choose something else. I definitely should have because this film went nowhere! I sat through this horrible movie for all of you and it did not pay off. It reminded me of when I choose a shitty movie on Netflix to go to sleep to and not care about what happened.

When I think about it I literally have no idea how I was able to sit through an hour and fifteen minutes of pure filth. It was a train wreck from the start that could never redeem itself. With such phrases from Richard saying, “I didn’t want to hurt them, I only wanted to kill them,” could it be any more cheesy? Yes of course it can as after each victim he had to change his shirt. It was as if he had a never-ending supply of white shirts that had to get blood all over it. Don’t forget that he had to comb his hair as well.

If you are into totally shitty movies, a “B” movie to the core, then be sure to check this out. I would rather cut out my eyes, saute them on a plate, and eat them then go through the hell of watching this film again. Don’t believe me? Well watch it for yourself and let us know your thoughts.

I give this movie 1/5 stars because of how horrible and shitty it was. I feel sorry for those that were in it and directed it, as it is possibly one of the worst films I have ever seen. Come on Richard Speck was a monster and in this film they make him out to be a joke.

Check out the trailer to see for yourself.
